St Marys Church - Putney Bridge 2021
This artwork was commissioned by the church of England as part of a restoration of St Mary's Church clock tower. The sundial underneath the clock was so weathered you could barely see the lines or read what it said so when I was approached to restore it I knew it was going to be more than just a touch up job.
I had to trace over the original sun dial by hand and fill in the gaps of the missing parts, the sun dial was then stripped away and based with masonry paint and I had to replicate it exactly as it once was with no margin for error. Using 23.5ct gold leaf and hand mixed enamel paint I recreated the sundial with uncanny precision.

Sydney, AustraliaHi my name is Joe, I am a street artist specialising in traditional sign painting and street art murals.
I have created hand painted bespoke designs for a range of different businesses, most notably - Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Youngs pubs, Virgin Voyages, Camden Town Brewery, Bionic Business, London councils such as Croydon, Wandsworth and Harrow and I recently finished a restoration project for the Church of England.
As well as running many of my own large scale projects I have also worked for some of the UK's leading mural painting agencies for several years and worked for many high end corporate clients. Most recently completing a project for Facebook's new office building in King's Cross London.
