Spirit of a Bear by JoniAikio in Rovaniemi

I really love doing these kind of expressive artworks. I've always thought that bears are mostly gentle giants. Here in Finland our ancestors really thought highly of bears. They made even different words for bear, because the "bear" word itself was too strong and could somehow get the bear to come. If a bear was killed they sometimes organized a "bear wedding" in honor of the bear and took bears bones to a sacred place to ensure the rebirth of the bear.
