This was painted over two days as the feature of an educational video for the purpose of teaching English to foreign students. The whole process was filmed and turned into a short film, with some sections of interview and questions about the piece and process.
The owner of the house, which is actually the second, darker blue house in the painting, asked for a Tropical/Jungly version of the iconic view of the street the house is situated on, from the opposite side of the river at the bottom of the valley.
To help aid the spoken content of the video, I was asked to include all colours and some animals in the picture, as these were basic things aimed to be taught in the video.

BIO
I grew up heavily immersed in skateboarding culture around the age of 10, I started to create my own skateboard graphics inspired by the ones I took inspiration from and that caught my eye.. This was my first step into the world of Art & Design as I know it and I soon found myself completely addicted to making my visions and ideas come to life. In school I would struggle to sit longer than about 20 minutes without having to start drawing, so realising this passion I decided to dedicate the direction of my education and future towards being an artist of some kind.
After completing my GCSE in Art & Design, I went on to study the subject at BTEC level at Kingston College. My time studying here allowed me to experiment a lot, develop my identity as an artist and also hone a variety of different skills. After 2 years I finished with a Distinction Star and consecutively enrolled for the Illustration course at Southampton Solent University not wanting to waste any time and keep pushing my craft further into the point of it being a career.
By this time I had done a small number of private commissions for people and I was starting to build up my portfolio as a working artist/designer. The course introduced me to more disciplines such as life drawing, printmaking (screen printing/lino/letterpress), and this helped me further develop my artistic identity into being more focused on text and image/promotional pieces.
I graduated from Solent in the summer of 2017 with a 2:1 and also recieving the Jonny Hannah Cakes and Ale press award for Text and Image. I imediately got busy with getting comissions and more artistic work and soon found myself doing lots of work in the musical field - producing promotional material such as flyers and posters for gigs and festivals, merchandise for bands and also logos. I have since been continously working on similar projects for clients such as Big Audio Dynamite, The Men They Couldn't Hang, 4i, Bette Smith, TBC Merchandise and more, as well as a number of murals.
