Soul Check Mate
This was painted in 2023. It is part of my shattered series. The background image was painted in 2021. It was originally a break up painting. The shattered series is about healing old wounds. Taking back my power. Soul Check Mate is about finding the one. It's highly symbolic. This was painted in my studio while I was living in tucson.

Meet the Artist
Newkirk, United StatesI am an Oklahoma based artist. I grew up in Oklahoma and just returned after 20 years. Love inspires all my work. I have been passionate about art for my entire life. I've done commissions for a few business but mostly, I've worked with private clients. I graduated suma cum laude with my degree in Fine Arts, in 2011. I have amazing technical skills. My last show was a group show at Studio Noho, in Los Angeles. It was called tiny embers, small paintings with big ideas. Through the years I have been working mainly in surrealism. Which, I fell in love with thanks to Kay Sage, Dali, and Frida. I would love to work on something for you.
