This was a submission piece for an art competition (13-19).
To those with depression, living is a nightmare, a torture.
When the heart has been through torture or trauma, all that is left are scars and abrasions. No trace of liveliness nor crimson red.
If anyone actually reached out to them with a genuine heart, they could have had more courage and reasons to continue their lonely fight with themselves that are then no longer lonely, and thereby start regaining energy and hope.
