Solstice
Custom designed mural located in Wedgewood Houston neighborhood in Nashville, TN. Ancient astronomers came to know the days as one where the sun appeared to stand still either at its highest or lowest point, marking the change in the year. Being the time for growth and new life to blossom.
We felt like this piece perfectly embodied the growth of not only Wedgewood Houston but Nashville as a whole. We wanted the Sun figure to be standing at its highest/solstice surrounded by beautiful growth that has come from this incredible place. The butterfly embodies the movement of all those who carry this city with them.
