Socialist fraternal kiss Replica by blackbird in Berlin
Socialist fraternal kiss Replica
the Fraternal kiss bursts with vivid portraiture, capturing the iconic embrace in a bold photo realistic mural style. This Mural/Graffiti work, inspired by the iconic 1990 Berlin Wall mural by Dmitri Vrubel. Located at the East Side Gallery, it depicts Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev and East German leader Erich Honecker sharing a socialist fraternal kiss. the replica was created for an interior space in Berlin to warmly welcome guests, connecting the Primary Tag of Portrait Mural to the city's rich cultural history. Crafted directly onto the wall, the piece uses expressive brushwork and layered color to evoke a sense of unity. Fraternal Greeting suggests both historical resonance and contemporary hospitality. Medium: mural painting. Location: Berlin, Germany. Installation: indoor wall.
Meet the Artist
Berlin, GermanyHi I’m Andrea,
I work primarily in large-format public artworks and murals, blending a formal art education with over a decade of hands-on experience that began on the streets. I did my first graffiti piece at age 12, a spark that eventually led me to art school and later to a nomadic lifestyle. To fund my travels and paint murals across different countries, I spent years working as a pizzaiolo—a chapter that taught me speed, precision, and the art of connecting with diverse communities.
Now based permanently in Berlin, I am fully dedicated to my mural practice. My work bridges raw street energy with fine art techniques, resulting in site-specific designs that are developed in close, collaborative dialogue with my clients.
