Sketchbook 1 - The Cloud Wanderers by Jack Carrington in London

I’m a swiss army knife creative, with a range of practical skills deeply rooted in traditional art. My craft is normally a bit chaotic, acting on impulse, using every medium at my disposal in my fusion of imagination and reality. As a multifaceted artist, my work offers experimentation of multiple forms such as: digital art, spray paint and even poetry. With a primary focus of using digital mediums to emulate layered texture, atmosphere and brushwork of traditional painting. My work is a visual synthesiser into my subconscious, often working in tandem with my subject. I use a range of stimuli while making my artwork. Music can play a big part in this but it extends to cartoons, film and current affairs, which can appear as graffiti embellished words and symbols. These elements are layered in a messy fashion, woven between my signature candy colours but often depicting raw subject matter which can enhance the deeper narratives embedded in my art. I received global coverage when my portrait of Mac Miller was featured in Warner music’s pop up event to celebrate the music and legacy of Mac. This took place in several locations, including: New York, LA and Pittsburgh. My most recent achievements have been performing as a live artist for the Art’Otel at the heart of Battersea Power Station, where I painted Pink Flloyd in front of the iconic building. Whether it’s displaying art in a speakeasy bar in Shoreditch or painting a huge mural in Camden, I bring a passion, detail and unique fresh style to any art I create.
