Shani is a Brooklyn-based illustrator and painter whose work moves between drawing, exhibition, and commissioned pieces. She's drawn to animals, human–animal hybrids, and small, honest moments from daily life — rendered with a focus on simplicity of form and clarity of gesture rather than heavy detail or ornamentation. Her illustrative work has shown in New York galleries including Philippe Labaune Gallery in Chelsea and Dacia Gallery in the East Village, and she continues to exhibit and sell original pieces and prints internationally. Commissioning with Shani is a collaborative process. She works closely with each client to translate a memory, a pet, a person, or an idea into a piece that feels personal and considered — not generic.
