I am a New York City–based visual artist and professional violinist. I work primarily in pen and ink, watercolor, and gouache, and my practice is grounded in plein air painting and a consistent sketchbook habit. My main inspirations include landscape, cityscapes, and travel sketching. I create art as a way to remember life and experience it more deeply. There's nothing like the slow focus on a subject or place for making a deep impression! Experimentation is central to my work—I frequently tries new materials, tools, and formats to keep my practice flexible and exploratory.
