Sensory Dome
“I’m alone in a dome
On top of my throne
And unlike Truman
This dome is my home” - Jackson Wings
This Sensory Dome, has been crafted from steel rods and frost cloth. The extent of this project, left me with newfound skills and excitement. creating a liveable canvas, one that invites the viewers toast within. Used as a projector screen, this versatile installation tool creates a space where sounds and colours become inextricable.
Although this dome has caused toil, it has also resulted in contentment. Alas I must now continue, as I was created to create.
Meet the Artist
Christchurch, New ZealandI am a passionate artist based in Christchurch, and I have just completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours. I excited by exploring and experimenting across a diverse range of mediums. Throughout art school, I've embraced unconventional approaches, blending techniques from various creative fields to challenge artistic norms. Driven by curiosity, I have been researching and drawing inspiration from art history, anthropology, and philosophy. This intellectual foundation has helped me to create interplay between concept and execution. I'm excited by my rich knowledge of skills and insights into artistic expression, to which I believe will assist me in the future with my visual creativity.
