This piece is done with the Ad Reinhardt black paint method. It is extremely difficult to capture in a photo what this piece behaves like in person. The paint is matte, and when you walk up to the piece, it appears to be an all matte black canvas. As the rods and cones of your eyes adjust to the dark, the image starts to appear.

New York, United StatesI am an Edmonton based artist that enjoys working in a variety of mediums. I have a passion for public art and it's ability to engage a community. I have been an artist for twenty years and seek out mural opportunities. I have painted in Canada, Costa Rica, Greece and the UAE. I enjoy travelling to create my work because I can be enveloped in the design and the process. I love capturing the essence of a place; speaking to its roots, the surroundings and the people.
