SDSU Healing Garden by Sojourner in San Diego
SDSU Healing Garden
This stunning 250sqft mandala is located in the SDSU Healing Garden. The mandala pays homage to Aztec and Kumeyaay Cultures. All plants in labyrinth bloom in seasonal cycle and are native to the region, plant spiral intersects with a medicine wheel.
Meet the Artist
San Diego, United StatesMelanie, a prolific painter, has designed several public artworks and landmarks for businesses throughout San Diego. She gains much of her artistic inspiration from dreams, poetry, mythology, solace in nature, and her extensive international travels. Drawing from the bank of personal experience to render her imaginative musings. You will find many of her layered concepts riveting with humor, metaphor, introspection, anthropomorphism, and character.
