Saturday Spritz at The Arts Hole by Mitch Walder in Adelaide
Saturday Spritz at The Arts Hole
The back wall in the laneway behind the Arts Hole studio gets a working most weekends of the year and this is one of them. Aerosol on thick layer of paint on rendered wall - A fun piece using limited colour palette and restricting the vivid colours to splashes in backgrounds. This is only part of the full mural, you can view the rest via this link https://www.instagram.com/p/BshYO5bFj9V/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Meet the Artist
Adelaide, AustraliaA driven artist who runs a multidisciplinary practice fueled by a constant desire to create. Starting out as keen drawer and imaginer of other worlds as a child, my persistent drawing led me to a Bachelor of Design Arts at the Australian Academy of Design and then an internship at The Age newspaper; the first ever in the art department. Working as an illustrator and designer my work featured on the front, back & other pages of The Age, Sydney Morning Herald and many ‘lift out’ publications from those prominent newspapers. The illustrations soon branched off into painting small scale works and stop motion animation. A profound moment in 2014 lead to the inclusion into The Arts Hole studio in Melbourne where I would continue to work as a freelance creative until 2021. It was there when I started to take on large scale mural works and grew my practice into various visual & audio fields that I still pursue today. My work varies in styles and methods but a common theme sees a composition filled with creative imagery, content and colour. Other notable components to my practice are realistic ink portraits, funky animated graphics, digital illustration & branding ideas, textured mixed media and live painting performances.
