Meet the Artist
Gates Mills, United StatesHillary is a Denver-based abstract artist specializing in murals, portraits and mixed media abstract art. Her love of art began at a young age, taking AP art throughout highschool. Though her love of art began with drawing and sketching, but found her truest expression through painting. Her paintings emphasize the beauty of the human form, most notably feminine curves and faces. By capturing facial expressions and using unlikely color combinations, Lauer has come into her own signature style. Marked with neons, purples and hectic lines- you can see her distinct artwork has a world of its own. Described as “beautiful chaos” Hillary finds beauty in the imperfections. Recently she discovered her love for painting murals. She loves transforming spaces and enhancing them with color and life. She has done murals in the Bay Area, including her most recent collaboration at Transbay park where she worked with 10 other artists on a 7,000 sq ft ground mural. When she is not making art, Hillary is involved in Denver’s yoga community, she loves to run and spend time in nature skiing and hiking.
