Hello! My name is Jardell, I'm 24 and from Edinburgh, Scotland.
I studied Design For Textiles at university, specialising in printed textiles.
Here I learnt how to screen print, mix dyes, the different properties of fibres and fabric and how to use CAD software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
During this time, I completed an exchange semester in Finland, which allowed me to explore a new design culture and approach to design, helping me refine and mature my style.

I love getting immersed in a project and I usually take inspiration from great artists and nature. I have a particular interest in post impressionism.
My current work tends to be in a pointillist style, but I also love sketchy drawings and painting.
Hand-drawn motifs and elegant repeat patterns are my thing.
My work has won an award for 'The Best Use of Colour in Printed Materials' from the Worshipful Company of Dyers.
After showcasing my graduate collection at 'New Designers' in London, I was scouted by Trendease International to exhibit as 'New Talent' at the 'Surface Design Show' in London 2020.
