Ritual of the Witches by Denycia in Waterbury

I am an artist based in Waterbury who focuses on abstract and mixed media art. My main objective is to create bodies of work that tell a story from beginning to end, while exploring themes such as religion, myth, identity, and societal issues. My practice focuses on freedom and raw emotion to bring the subconscious to life, using mainly bold and primary colors and a variety of materials such as screws, nails, concrete, plastic, and more. My painting journey began in 2019 and since then I have displayed my work in group and solo exhibitions in galleries and events.
