“Rishie Rich” is a playful, high-energy commissioned piece created for a client whose two great loves in life are: money and his dog, Dollar, and honestly, who can blame him? Obsessed with Richie Rich and everything over-the-top and extravagant, he wanted a painting that reflected his bold, cheeky personality but with a personal twist. That’s where Dollar (the dog) comes in. To bring it all together, I created custom dollar bills featuring his dog's face in place of the classic presidents, a fun nod to the name and a subtle flex on having a fur baby that's literally money. The whole piece is painted with acrylic on canvas, with clean pops of colour, sharp contrasts, and comic-style influences pulled straight from the Richie Rich world. “Rishie Rich” isn’t just a portrait, it’s a cartoonishly luxurious love letter to his lifestyle, sense of humour, and, of course, Dollar the dog. A reminder that art can be as fun and personal as it is meaningful.
