Ride The Breaks 2018 by Ira Stivers in Holualoa

Hawaii based visual artist, Ira, has been honing his skills as an abstract visualist, muralist and mixed media artist for the past several years. Originally starting in street art, he went to college to learn graphic arts and blended both styles to do the art he does today. Mr. Ira’s evolution into murals and canvas work has allowed him to work with many talented artist here in Hawaii as well as all across the mainland US such as Chris “Olbek” Beckett(TWN, Sekt), Such(TMR, RIS), Miho Morinoue(DMAC), Gerald Lucina(DMAC), East3(Rock Steady, Rock Force), Eugene “Eukarezt” Menor(7th Letter, Mele Murals), John “Prime” Hina, Laetitia “Kukui” Mahoney, Shar “Punky Aloha” Tui’asoa, Seth “SethCre8” Womble. As an ever evolving artist Mr. Ira has evolved into teaching Hawaii’s youth about Street Art and Hip-Hop culture hoping to serve as a vessel to encourage kids of all ages to start doing art. Some of the events he has helped make successful through art are the Youth Mural Project on Pawai Pl.(Makahiki Mural), Ride the Breaks 2017 & 2018, Kealakehe High Youth Bus and Ahupuaa Mural, Ilima Court Mural(Palani Rd.), the Edible World Kona Murals, Kona Brewing Murals.
