Remembering Pokhara by Keinom in Berlin

Remembering Pokhara

Ten years ago, I spent a lot of time with the Tibetans in Pokhara, Nepal to make research for my next book.. Most of my work is based around the contradictions of life and I wanted to combine architecture with portraits of woman. So, I used an old photograph from my time in Nepal and combined it with a portrait. In the background are several antique documents, covered with transparent gray tone and I used a lace blanket to get a stencil-like texture. The house is painted with acrylics and the lady in oil.
