Red Herring
Red Herring is the second piece in this series. This piece is filled with competing elements of beauty – including the rose in the hair, the hair itself, and the faultless complexion – that intentionally distract the viewer from the focal point of the piece; the eyes. The subject’s eyes have a subtle complexity that communicate an unknowable wisdom that is both immediately disarming and alluring.
Meet the Artist
Sydney, AustraliaMural painter and portrait artist based in Sydney. My style aims to blend the classical beauty of photo-realism, with the dynamic energy and bold aesthetics of street art. Specialising in aerosols, I create striking compositions that aim to transform a space and reflect the values and energy of those around it.
I enjoy experimenting with different techniques to create depth and movement in my pieces, focusing on intricate details and diverse colour palettes to bring my subjects to life. I am particularly drawn to expressive portraiture and organic subjects, creating artworks that celebrate individuality and the rich tapestry of our shared stories.
