This is a typically Catalan scene that I have tried to move back in time, creating a more current setting.
The iconography of the nun and the bull (there is nothing more Spanish) in front of a Pakistani supermarket (typical of Barcelona today), contrast strongly. The idea of ??what Barcelona was and is and the people who inhabit it, being able to see the change and pay attention to the differences and similarities, seems to me an interesting job.
This work is painted in oil and has a strongly marked diagonal.
Hello, my name is Clara S. Prous.
I was born in Barcelona in 1991, and only he changed cities once, and I came back.
I am an illustrator and post producer. Normally I spend my days painting in my studio, although if they ask me I edit a video or collaborate in fanzines and comics.
Since I have a huge intricacy to express myself in some way, and singing is not one of my virtues, I dedicated my whole life to exploring new plastic methods. That is why I studied illustration in 2014 at the Escola Industrial de Barcelona, ????and then I did a post-production specialization course at the Espai school, also in Barcelona.
There I was able to learn to use 3d max, Mudbox, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere... in short, almost everything.
In 2018 I went to live in Liége, near Brussels, to work in a 3D studio, which converted the plan that I sent to the architect into a realistic image of what that space was going to be.
The work was fine, but it was hard for me to live at -6aC, to be honest.
When I returned home I decided that what I always wanted to do was paint, and since then, as I say, it's what I do every day.
I’ve been in a few solo exhibitions but only in Barcelona. I would like to make one somewhere else….
My level of English is very high, as can be seen from the certificate that I never went to pick up. I spent 3 months in the US and survived, this should be enough.
