For a personal project, I did a series of illustrations about the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. The idea behind these children illustrations it's to show just a few elements that are recognizable for everyone with a quick look, without saying much nor using the name of the story.
With this image, it's not hard to guess which is the story, right? Of course I'm refering to Rapunzel!
It's made with gouache and edited digitally.
I am an Argentinian artist based on the sunny coast of Spain. I draw and paint since I was a kid, but it wasn't until a few years ago that I decided to become an illustrator, so I studied for a few years and here I am.
I have developed a lovely personal style, filled with colours and details, with a focus on children illustration, but capable to adapt to a variety of subjects. I love to draw and paint, so the begining of my illustrations is always draft by hand on pencil and then I paint in watercolour or gouache, mixing also colour pencils, markers, ink or anything the image could need. After that, I work my magic in digital editing to add more details, textures and light. The result is simply charming.
Before this dream of mine was a reality, I studied Social Communication and Journalism. I believe this is asset that's good for my job as an illustrator, as it gives me the tools to understand complex ideas and reflect them on image in a more simple way.
I look forward to work with you!
