Quiet Life is a site-specific mural created in Beauty Point, Tasmania, celebrating the area’s native wildlife and natural identity. Inspired by a moment when the homeowner saw an echidna in their garden, the artwork features a detailed echidna surrounded by local vegetation and Huon pine. A soft, natural palette reflects the quiet beauty of the landscape. Small elements, like a butterfly and a dragonfly, add movement and connection to the environment. Personal touches, including memories of the homeowner’s dog, are subtly woven into the piece, creating a sense of warmth, presence and connection to the place.
