Mural Statement: The sight of blooming flowers invites you into a world of vibrant colours and boundless joy, while the flap of a hummingbird's wings fills you with wonder. A moment tucked safely in a special place in Nicole's heart. There is a precious, delicate nature to the life of both flowers and hummingbirds, yet they too both possess an inspiring resilience. All this brings Nicole such a deep and personal connection to them. To her, they represent joy, strength, growth and beauty. They teach us to focus on the good things in life, no matter how fleeting they may seem at times, and remind us to live in the present. Nicole hopes to represent, with her mural, a moment in time such as this. One that will uplift, and inspire people to come together, slow down, and celebrate the present moment.
Meet the Artist
Vancouver, CanadaI'm a multi-disciplinary visual artist based in Vancouver.
My art is inspired by nature, connection, and everyday moments in life, and is known for its bold, bright colours and joyful, uplifting energy. I started out as a graphic designer and illustrator, and fell in love with painting murals in August of 2021. There's something so magical about creating art at such a large scale that so many people can enjoy.
