Meet the Artist
New York, United StatesBorn and raised in the vibrant city of New York, my journey took an unexpected turn when my family moved to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, during my formative years. This transformative experience deeply influenced my life and creativity, instilling in me a profound appreciation for the interconnectedness of art, music, and fashion. The rich cultural tapestry of Haiti ignited my sense of color and fostered a love for vibrant tropical hues.
My artistic journey began at an early age, with my first art show taking place during my kindergarten year. As a young girl, I developed an unwavering passion for fashion, sewing, and creating. Fortunately, my high school offered fashion design classes where I discovered the art of draping at the age of 16. This formative experience propelled me towards the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), where I pursued a major in haute couture, tailoring, ready-to-wear, and knits.
During my time at FIT, I had the honor of receiving the coveted Lord & Taylor’s AMERICAN DRESS ADDRESS award by the renowned designer Oscar de la Renta, one of my personal favorites. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree, I embarked on a career in the fashion industry, working with distinguished brands such as Donna Karan, DKNY, Calvin Klein, Perry Ellis, Gloria Vanderbilt, and Tory Burch on New York’s iconic 7th Avenue. Subsequently, I transitioned into freelancing, drawn to the freedom and creativity it offered.
Throughout my professional journey, my love for fashion illustration has flourished. I find joy in capturing the essence of fashion through hand sketches and digital mediums, including Adobe Illustrator and Procreate. This passion is reflected in my diverse body of work, spanning clothing, bags, and wall art.
I am thrilled to share that my talent was recognized when I emerged as the winner of the Printed Village print design contest, with my artwork showcased during New York Fashion Week.
My experiences, from New York to Haiti and the various creative opportunities I’ve had, have shaped me into the artist I am today. I invite you to explore my portfolio and witness the fusion of cultural influences and artistic expressions that define my unique perspective.
