A Puerto Rico based company hired me to create a mural for their office! I was given free range to do whatever I wanted so I decided to take advantage of the beautiful scenery of Puerto Rico. The island is known for its ocean views but it also hosts the only tropical rainforest in the United States. I wanted to marry these two locations and include wildlife and native plants such as the dangerously endangered Puerto Rican parrot (Amazona vittatas) and the hibiscus flower.
I'm an illustrator, muralist, and graphic designer from Nashville, TN. I have a Bachelor's of Fine Art in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design and am trained in a variety of mediums, including oil, gouache, and watercolor paint, as well as digital illustration. I specialize in bold lines and gorgeous color schemes, and my subject matter is usually groovy, fun and feminine. My biggest inspirations are Lisa Frank, Psychedelia, and graphic novels!
