Pueblo Levee Project by Kalyn Connolly in Aurora

Pueblo Levee Project

The Pueblo Levee Project originally took place in the 70s, it was the world longest mural at the time. Over time the levee had to be redone resulting in all the murals being destroyed. In 2020 they decided to remake the mural project and I got the honor of being a part of the beginning. I felt like spider man doing this. It was crazy the wall was at a 70 degree angle so I had to use a rope to walk along the wall while painting it. After 40 hours this was what I made! It was to represent all the deer and bucks I saw growing up in Colorado and my appreciation for their beauty.
