"Project in collaboration with Tinta del
Rio, freehand mural made to create a
better ambience and bring color and life
to the arts district of Bogotá. This mural is located in the center of the
neighborhood right next to the galleries that are located in San Felipe, Bogotá.
Melissa's artistic journey has been deeply intertwined with both art and design, leading to exhibitions at prestigious venues such as the Latin American Art Festival in California, Field Projects Gallery in New York, and various locations in Mexico and Colombia. Her latest art residency was at BEMA in Querétaro, Mexico, where she collaborated with a UK artist.
Inspired by sacred art and ancient cultures, Melissa's work explores the connections between the feminine psyche and the universe's magnificence. She portrays these themes through diverse media and contexts, utilizing techniques ranging from oil paintings to large-scale murals.
Her fascination with experimentation has led her to explore various techniques, including screen-printing, ceramics, textiles, paste, oil, and acrylic. Her most recent exhibition took place at The Holy Art Gallery in London, where she introduced innovative techniques and new proposals.
Melissa continues to push the boundaries of contemporary art, driven by her dedication to creating meaningful and impactful art.
