Princess Street
This mural, created for Uptown Waterloo on Princess Street in collaboration with ABA Architects and Uptown Waterloo BIA, was designed to foster a vibrant and welcoming space for people to socialize and enjoy patio weather post-COVID. The overlapping colors symbolize the city’s diverse community and the interconnectedness of its residents. What began as a small, experimental initiative has evolved over the years into a signature place-making project, expanding into collaborations with multiple artists and exhibitions, including large-scale flood installations. The mural’s growth—from initial retouches to large-scale adaptations—sparked wider artistic engagement in the area, drawing attention from the community and city leadership, including a visit from the mayor, and ultimately inspiring more artists to participate and refresh the space, making it a dynamic, evolving hub for creativity and public interaction.

Kitchener, CanadaHey there! I’m Renee, a multidisciplinary artist and muralist creating bold, culture-driven work inspired by my community, Jamaican roots and everyday life.
I’ve been involved in the arts my whole life, but I started taking it seriously about 7 years ago—and since then, I’ve had the chance to bring my work into real spaces and communities. Some of my pieces can be found around the city, including a mural on Princess Street, work with Four All Ice Cream, the Winter Window Art Walk with the City of Waterloo, and even a mural at a B&B in Jamaica.
I work across different mediums—from hand-painted murals and canvas pieces to custom designs on pretty much any surface (yes, even shoes!), and I also explore digital art. For murals, I offer both hand-painted work and digitally designed pieces that can be transformed into wall coverings.
With my background in interior design, I’m always thinking about how a piece feels in a space—not just how it looks. My goal is to create work that brings energy, tells a story, and gives people something they can connect with and remember.
