Princess Mela and Jordancito
The two dolls in this piece represent the inner child and inner child work done by the client, that they wanted to commemorate. We discussed the piece, the size, and the placement, the direction she was looking.
Meet the Artist
Minneapolis, United StatesMore of a graffiti artist than a muralist, I also work on canvas, paper and do portrait work. I am a trained and licensed attorney, and I don’t practice it. Art is my practice now. I am a life-long consumer of mental health services. I believe my art is my trauma work. I was raised in a severe cult in the rural Midwest. I am intentionally and aggressively anti-racist, and anti-patriarchy, although I got here late, and have a lot to learn. I am invited to community everywhere I go, because I am free to love myself everywhere that I am. This is true for you too.
