Prahran Market Mural by Sonsie in Melbourne
Prahran Market Mural
Spanning the length of Elizabeth Street sits the iconic Prahran Market on one side, and on the opposite - a three-story concrete carpark.
Commissioned by The City of Stonnington Council, we designed a complex piece that would transform all three entrances and stairwells in the carpark from dark, harsh and uninviting to vibrant, engaging and meaningful - reflective of the community that live, work and play there. This is one of the largest public art projects we’ve worked on to date. It was incredibly fun to design and exciting to install.

Meet the Artist
Melbourne, AustraliaPaul Sonsie is an Artist and Graphic Designer; working together with his wife Georgie, they founded Sonsie Studios in 2013, a creative agency that specialises in murals, graphic design and branding.
As Designers, they collaborate to create exceptional branding experiences that genuinely reflect the clients they work with. The ability to capture the true essence of a brand, product, or narrative through imaginative visuals, thoughtful typography, and meticulous attention to detail is of utmost significance to them.
As Artists, they consider themselves incredibly privileged to be active contributors to Melbourne’s vibrant arts culture.
Partnering with forward-thinking organisations and businesses that truly grasp the possibilities art can unlock is incredibly exciting.
They appreciate the positive impact it has on personal and community well-being and understand the profound social and economic benefits it nurtures.
Creating Public Art has become a growing focus for Paul and Georgie, with their painted murals, super graphics and digital artworks having been produced for street art, prisons, supermarkets, commercial offices, shopping centres, hospitality venues, community spaces, carparks, colleges and schools.
