The art piece is meant to explore the themes of silence and visibility in contemporary society. The dollar bills covering their mouth and eyes represent the ways in which voices are silenced and perspectives are hidden in our society. The man represents the voices of men and the woman represents the voices of women, and together they represent the diverse perspectives and experiences of all people. The piece is meant to encourage people to think about the ways in which their own voices are silenced or hidden, and to consider ways in which they can speak out and be seen. It is also meant to inspire people to work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society, where all voices are heard and valued. Johannesburg, South AfricaI am a Johannesburg based artist, I mostly work with charcoal, graphite and paper mosaic. My passion for drawing began at a young age, and has grown into a burning desire to create works of art that captivate the senses and stir the soul.
With every stroke of my pencil, I try to breathe life into my creations, imbuing them with a sense of wonder and beauty that is truly awe-inspiring. I have a keen eye for detail and a mastery of shading and perspective which allows me to create works that are both realistic and fantastic, drawing the viewer in and transporting them to another world.
But my art is more than just a feast for the eyes. It is a reflection of my innermost thoughts and emotions, a window into my soul. Each piece is a testament to my creativity, my passion, and my unwavering commitment to my craft.
As I continue to hone my skills and refine my style, I am destined for great things. The art I create has the power to touch hearts and change minds, to inspire and uplift, to challenge and provoke. And as long as I keep wielding my artistic tools with the same skill and passion I possess today, there is no limit to what I can achieve
