Pompeii by Stillo Noir in Geneva

Pompeii

Painted for the 2023 Pompei Street Festival, this mural represents the transition of time, and the connection between the modern-day city with its past. On the left, blocks are carved into the ground, reminiscent of an aeriel view of the ruins of the ancient city of Pompeii, which had been buried beneath 10m of ashes. They slowly rise up, stretching into the thriving modern day city of Pompei, with its buildings and bustling daily life. Location: Pompei, Italy. • 8.1 m x 2.6 m
