Specialized Illustration – Summative Assessment This project is a vibrant branding and illustration initiative created for the iconic Montreal-based music festival, Piknic Électronik. The goal was to design an interactive photo-op mural and a cohesive line of merchandise that capture the electric energy, playful atmosphere, and summertime spirit of the festival. Project 1: Illustrated Photo-Op Mural The mural concept merges fruity freshness with musical expression—featuring whimsical compositions where fruits are with musical elements, all set in a colorful, immersive scene. Visitors are invited to pose with the mural, creating shareable moments that spread the event's identity online. Elements such as the official logo and hashtag #ElectroVibes are integrated into the design to enhance brand visibility and encourage social media engagement. Project 2: Capsule Merch Collection Inspired by the mural’s visual language, the capsule collection includes: 1) A screen-printed T-shirt with a dynamic musical-fruit motif. 2) A sleek metal water bottle with wraparound illustrations echoing the mural's energy. 3) A hat featuring fruit icons and music symbols. 4) A canvas tote bag featuring bold summer colors. Each product is thoughtfully crafted to be functional, stylish, and festival-ready—making them perfect keepsakes for attendees. The designs are unified through color, composition, and theme, bringing a holistic brand experience to life.
