Pet portraits!... well why not?... by CHALKYADS in Ely

I cut my teeth as a young graphic designer in the 1980's in London's West End. I was there to see the switch to ‘digital’ from the old traditional hand-drawn artwork where the 'old guard' were talented artists I'd aspire to. I feel very privileged to have worked in this environment honing my own hand-drawn skills before, inevitably, taking up digital artwork practices. Thereafter was the birth of the internet... and that lead me down another path of web design, new media, animation and illustration. After many years of staring into a 'Mac Monitor'... (working through the headaches and bad back!) I’d finally had enough, and walked away from it all!… to pursue a NEW venture in hand-painted Chalkboard Artwork for local pubs and restaurants... Cut to TEN years later and 100s (1000’s?) of Chalkboards I find myself a full-time Chalkboard Artist for hire! I’m always drawn to good quality hand painted signs and have additionally attended courses in traditional sign-writing, a skill in which can only improve with age!
