Emma is a mixed media naturalist artist from Phoenix, Arizona. Beers work captures the extremity of a dying planet, the complexities of society, and the details that fall in between.
Beers was trained as a traditional oil painter and eco conscious artist at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Following the completion of a BA in Studio Art and a BA in Sociology, she moved to Colorado and began work as a sustainable artist. Now located in Denver, Colorado, Beers strives to capture the beauty of the land around us before the actions of mankind drastically alter it forever. The works created by Beers often incorporate plant matter to quite literally bring the piece through a cycle of life. This process further stresses the detrimental impact that man made materials can leave on the natural world.
Her work can be found in local shops around Ouray including Humble Mountain and Mojo’s Coffee. Beers work can also be found in a number of private collections curated for various office spaces and homes across the country.
