I was approached by Peroni (Italian beer company) to design and paint a summer beer-garden using a bright and bold colour palette. The area before was a little dull, but once I got my design onto space, it definitely brightened up the area.
My name is Kevin, a professional muralist and Artist previously living in Dublin and now residing in Sydney. I started getting involved in Street Art around the same time I graduated with a Fine Arts degree (TU Dublin) in 2017. In recent years my public profile and reputation as an emerging artist have been building from strength to strength. Large-scale indoor & outdoor commissions have given me a vast knowledge in this area of creativity, and a testament to this is that I have been able to produce large projects individually for well-renowned global clients/businesses, some of these include Meta/Facebook, Guinness, Peroni, Amazon & Pinterest.
Over the past number of years I have been involved in graffiti workshops and earlier this year I co-organised the setup of a business in running this experience, this includes live graffiti workshops for cooperative work groups for fun & educational after-work events, some clients we worked with are Amazon, Meta, Google & StepStone. These workshops took place in a local Dublin Brewery, the groups had an evening of painting murals in an active brewery, drinking freshly brewed beers, and enjoying pizza straight from the oven, a very unique experience.
I founded the D.P.G (Dublin Painters Group) earlier last year, this group was made up of Dublin creatives from various areas of the Art industry. The purpose of this group was to initiate group projects, share surplus work, organise charity & fundraiser events, meet-ups, and organise exhibitions, it is still running today and was a positive outlet during the pandemic.
In the background of all of this, I work away in my studio and I continue to practice my ideas and skills. I would describe my Art as “Pop-Abstract”, with a strong focus on vibrant, eye-catching colours along with bold shapes and forms. The idea behind my current work is the relationship between forms found in nature and what we consider to be man-made/industrial forms. I like to showcase my practice through painting, large-scale murals and digital renditions via fine art prints.
