Paddington Mural by Gisella Stapleton in London
Paddington Mural
This mural celebrates Paddington Bear as a symbol of migration, belonging, and multicultural London. Commissioned by Studio Canal and in collaboration with Visit London, this artwork is inspired by my Peruvian heritage and Andean visual traditions. The mural blends Peruvian and British references, using bold colours and patterns to explore themes of identity, home, and inclusion.
This large-scale mural was commissioned by Studio Canal and Visit London, designed by me and painted in collaboration with Global Street Art
Meet the Artist
London, United KingdomInspired by women's empowerment, nature and Latin American cultures. The colours and patterns seen in the Central and South American indigenous cultures and nature itself are the most natural visual language to express the subjects in my work, from eco-feminism to indigenous identity and the preservation of nature.
