Calibar’s art elicits intrigue, exudes sexy. At only 30 years old, this Chilean-born artist started his career on the streets of Miami, exploring the city’s abandoned spaces and brightening them up with his unique artistic style, until in what could be seen as a dark cloud – an arrest for painting inside an abandoned building – turned serendipitous. The police officer paged through Calibar’s notebooks and saw his talent for what it was – genuine, of a higher caliber. This incident triggered a change in the trajectory of his life by equipping him with the confidence, tools, and skills to dedicate his life to art. The rest, you could say, was history. Since then, Calibar has showcased his work in a variety of exhibitions, sold countless commissions, and painted murals for prominent Miami businesses.
