Our Favourite Place 2016 by Clare Walton in Sydney

Created in collaboration with young children aged 2-5yrs old at Rowan Street Kindergarten, Victoria. I worked with each of the children to create images of their favourite places and things on panels that were attached to the walls of the main building. The tree was painted directly onto the building and invites the viewer to image a world that you can only enter through the roots of the tree. Small boxes were created and attached to the walls for the children to place small items in, things they find, want to hide or special items. Vipond acrylic mural paints and mixed media mural on timber and breeze block wall.
