Meet the Artist
Saffron Walden, United KingdomAshin is a self taught graffiti artist. He was introduced to graffiti through hip hop culture. Since graffiti is one of the elements of Hip hop culture, He likes to call himself a Hip hop scholar. For him art means not only just graffiti or just painting and stuff, it's more than that, art is a way of expression in any form. So as a Hip hop scholar , graffiti is not just a profession for him. It is having fun while doing it, spreading peace, love, unity through your everyday hustle. He has been doing graffiti for over 10 years.his works can be seen over the cities of nepal. He was also involved with the PRASAD project(2013-2016),RECOLOR project led by artlab. He was involved with the BATO KO CINEMA project(aimed to raise awareness about women’s rights and gender equality, especially with regards to rural women of nepal) led by sattya media arts. He has also hosted graffiti workshops of artlab and urban art workshops in schools.Most of his works are based on graffiti lettering. But, he loves to work with different forms and mediums and explore them.
