Operation: Art is a collaborative project directed by myself and staff from The Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital held in the You Can Youth Cancer Center.
I use the free flow of fluid art to provide a therapeutic and creative outlet from daily stressors, and express in a way that words cannot.
My aim is to provide that same outlet to the young patients by sharing my tips and tricks, and having some fun along the way!
I am eternally inspired by the earth and the forever dramatic difference and beauty between the lands within our world, and this shows throughout my work.
I am a Brisbane girl who has recently moved back to Australia after residing in Dubai and finishing a 5-year career in the airline industry. It wasn’t until then that I began to uncage into society from the previous binding rules and boundaries, and truly start to be and express myself.
Now In my third professional year as an artist I specialize in abstract art, using mixed media as a therapeutic and creative outlet from daily stressors. My ever-growing and changing style comes down to that and my current mood and/or predicament.
Since returning to Australia I’ve been studying my Bachelor of Nursing, leading me to combine my passions in health and in art and launching my own project ‘Operation: Art’ held at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. At the hospital I hold monthly art workshops with a therapeutic approach for youth cancer patients, in hope to provide them with that same therapeutic outlet while also connecting, creating and learning a new skill.
Among commissions, collaborations, and running my business and project I aim to continuously refine my work while also exploring and merging different techniques and styles.
