One fun drink a day keeps the monsters away
One fun drink a day keeps the monsters away” (2025) acrylic on canvas 30x40cm
The surface is built up with scratchy, uneven textures, intentionally rough, giving the work a sense of quiet unease. It’s meant to sit somewhere between comfort and discomfort, for those drawn to the slower, stranger side of things. And a little iced matcha.

Meet the Artist
Bristol, United KingdomI’m Alisa a self-taught painter from Finland, now based in Bristol. I create contemporary acrylic paintings that explore quiet, in-between moments, often working with dark, muted tones to reflect the complexity of personal and shared experiences.
I’ve been developing my artistic practice for couple years, steadily building and developing. I love to paint still lifes and portraits!
My work has been exhibited in group shows at Bristol Folk House (2025), Huw Richard Evans Contemporary Art Gallery, Bristol (2025), Espacio Gallery, London (2025), and the Cellar Door Exhibition, Bristol (2025) and L’Etoile Gallery, Bristol (2026). In 2025, I also completed a commissioned body of work for The Bank restaurant in Glossop, and I have sold both commissioned and original works to private collectors.
