For all people, personal dreams and ambitions are alluring and motivating, but for citizens crushed beneath an authoritarian regime, their warm vibrancy may forever drift beyond any individual's grasp on the other side of a deep dark ocean of dystopian control. Under the restrictions of tyranny people get the sense of heaviness or obstruction in the body and mind and lose their human faces, left with nothing but pain. Their human spirit is assassinated. Oppression is often discussed in the same context as the terms "dehumanization" and "exploitation". These are terms that portray unjustness and cruelty. Evil, greedy, disastrous, ugly, devilish, and immoral- words that describe those who have power and are at the top of social hierarchy in the society of oppression. These images are a collective portrait of the future and the present of those who dominate and who are dominated over, those who are at the both sides of totalitarian power. Portraits of those who are still equal under ideology of subordination superiority and inferiority with those who proclaim it.
