As a kid, my cousin and I used to spend time at my Grandma's where Okara, a tall mysterious black man used to visit my grandma, used to bring an old bag of train toys. My grandma used to warn us not to approach it as Mr Okara used to keep the snakes he caught but my cousin and I were so tempted by the box, the train, the colours.. but never dared to touch it. Today I learn there was never any snakes inside but Mr Okara kept his snakes in a boring old wooden case with a lock and the train box was used to bring dates from his hometown for Grandma and other friends.. Ah Grandma
I am Anass, an Artist with a big appetite for the Arts.
My passion dates back to my early age when I used to organise a little show for my family every other weekend using cut-outs characters on hand drawn backgrounds and act out little stories I made up.
Since then I have attended the University of the Arts London and the University for the Creative arts where I have developed my skills in Graphics, Storyboard, Animation and Illustration.
Having worked in-studio full time between 2018 and 2020 on very important projects, I am able to take direction and work efficiently to deliver high quality work under tight deadlines. I was responsible for creating Style Frames to decide the look of the Animation as well as Storyboarding, Character Design and Environment Art.
I am always seeking to develop my skills outside work by taking on little side projects, joining art workshops and events.
My interests are a big influence on my personal work which includes History, Culture and Sports.
