Of Haiti by Tracede D’Haiti in Kendall

An abstract portrait of my dear father who has passed away. I intended with this painting to depict him in a way where I showcase his strong demeanor. Leaving him in his unfinished state is a choice I made to show that I not only didn’t get to fully know him, but that his story is not done being told. In this way, I invite the viewer to fill in the gaps and create a story for him to continue living in.
