Ocean dream

This painting was inspired by a repeated dream I had for weeks. I would find myself in the middle of the ocean, and a wave would be hurling at me. The first dream, the wave englufed me and I woke up. Each time I had the dream I would wake up further and further way from the wave that was coming at me. In my dream I was trying to uncover how I would get out of the ocean. Each time I would be further from the wave I would plot in my head where my exit was. In the last dream I saw a door across the ocean on the horizon, I swam under as soon as the wave came, and I swam to the door. When I got there I climbed up and through the door and on the other side my sister and her daughter were waiting for me and it was a lush green meadow.
