Nuclear Dawn mural reinstatement by mORGANICo in Brisbane

Nuclear Dawn mural reinstatement

This iconic mural originally painted in Brixton in 1981 by Brain Barnes MBE was reinstated in 2021 by myself & 2 other artist colleagues using the pure mineral pigment paint system Keim. The original watercolour design of this famous pro peace mural is now in the Victoria & Albert museum archives. Commissioned by local council & jointly funded through a new theatre project & developers this much cherished mural was an honour to bring back to life for the local community after the original was too damaged by 40 years of weather & graffiti to be recognisable.
