No bond is stronger than family by Vanessa Heaver in Wellington

When the Shirley Community reached out to me to apply to the 2020 pop up penguin trail I had to say yes! This was my design. As the money raised from the auction of this painting was going towards Cholmondeley Children’s Centre I wanted to add a family style design. So here you have the father penguin protecting his babies while their mum is out looking for food. I called this “no bond is stronger than family” not only because of the centre that we were supporting but because it hit home for myself as well. This was something I was truly proud of and my penguin ended up raising $35,000 for Cholmondeley and that is something I will treasure forever. I always like to put a personal touch on my paintings so it speaks to the customer who brought it.
